This policy is directed to employees who have a family history of certain illnesses. This product pays very large lump sum amounts if the policyholder is ever diagnosed with any covered disease or illness. These policies are focused on inpatient and outpatient services, hospital room and board, medicine and surgeries. Typically the covered illnesses are considered major events and include Cancer, Heart Attacks, and Diabetes etc. The payments can go towards whatever the policyholder chooses. They are usually used to cover lost income and out-of-pocket medical expenses.
